I had the amazing opportunity to attend a women's retreat in Idaho last week, and I can’t express the depth of my gratitude for all that I learned and experienced. My dear friends, Kaylee Rose and Julie Dean Richards, planned and hosted this incredible event. They guided us through teachings about feminine archetypes and gave us the space to experience the "Heroine's Journey" in a way that helped us begin healing some of the deeper parts of our shadow.

I was also able to connect with seventeen other women from many different backgrounds. And yet, despite our differences, we bonded over our similarities. We laughed—a LOT. We cried. We raged. We reconnected with our bodies. We discussed astrology and human design and shared our experiences with spirituality. We were able to support each other as we released the emotions that were no longer serving us. Many of us even felt the sacred presence of our Heavenly Mother. It was a true village experience.
About five years ago, President Nelson of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints urged members of the church to "Hear Him." I took that invitation seriously and began to work diligently at discerning the difference between the Spirit of the Lord and the spirit of the adversary. Thankfully, it only took one experience with the adversary trying to mimic the Savior’s voice for me to learn the difference. But now, I’m being called to discern another voice. A voice that is just as divine. A voice that has been diminished and forgotten over time. The voice of my Heavenly Mother.
I believe She has always been present in my life, just as Christ and Heavenly Father have been. But I was only ever taught that the masculine Divine—Father, Christ, and the Holy Ghost—could communicate with me. So I fear that many of the times She was speaking to my soul, I attributed Her presence to Them instead.
Feeling Her presence at this retreat was a sacred experience for me. And now, I want to learn how to recognize Her voice—distinct from the masculine. Father and Christ are still important to me, but I have spent most of my life listening for Them. Now, I am being given the chance to search for Her. And I believe that Father and Christ love Her deeply. I believe They want us to know Her too. She is not secondary. She is important. I was created in Her image. And I am grateful that Father and Christ have gently led me to Her.
If you’ve been feeling Her call, I invite you to follow it. Hear Her.
Her path may feel unfamiliar. It may be different than what you've known before—and that’s okay. You already know how to listen to your own intuition. That quiet inner voice? That’s Her. She has been guiding you all along.
There aren’t many obvious resources out there for learning how to Hear Her. But they do exist, if you begin searching. Most Christian traditions have interpreted everything through a masculine lens. So we have to seek. But She is in the scriptures. You’ll find Her through symbols if you’re willing to look. That may be a good place to start—looking for and recognizing feminine symbols and meanings in sacred texts.
This journey isn’t easy. I’m not fully confident in my ability to discern Her yet. But I know that it’s worth it—for me and for my soul—to follow where She is leading.
If you’re looking for a place to begin exploring the Divine Feminine in a safe and empowering way, I recommend joining Feminine Alchemyst and the associated podcast . It’s not affiliated with any specific religious organization and offers thoughtful support for women who are learning to reconnect with Her voice and presence.
I look forward to supporting you in your journey to Hear Her and I hope that you’ll reach out.
We sang this song at least once a day. It was so soothing and wonderful
